This blog is a representation of my own interpretation of Yone, with a few spins on his narrative along with my own headcanons I have of him. I would like to further explore his relationship with his brother as well as himself and his understanding of his newfound powers. HAIR + COLOR. Hair that sweeps past his waist, glossy jet-black. It's soft to the touch, and holds many kinds of decorations and accessories and beads that tie around sections of his hair that come down over his chest.
FACIAL HAIR. Clean shaven
EYES. Both glow an unnatural, spectral blue, though of the two, only one of his real eyes are visible. When it's not glowing, his iris is deep crimson in color.
LATERALITY. Ambedextrious

WEIGHT. 200lbs
BUILD. Broad-shouldered, though he's visibly lithe and muscular, he's a man that's obviously poured countless hours into rigorous training in order to perfect his skills as well as maintain an optimal physique to compliment his training.
SCARS/MARKINGS. Multiple scars on his face, one lining from near his left temple, skittering down his cheek and over his lip to the center of his chin. The other facial scar is obscured by his mask, and crosses over his right eye, which resulted in his loss of sight in that eye. There's also extensive scarring on his arms and abdomen, though those are less often to be seen.
OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES. A red demonic mask is coalesced upon his face that glows an eerie red and is bound to unsettle most that lay eyes upon it due to the unnatural glow and aura that it emanates.

❛ SKILLSET & ABILITIES

ABILITIES. Specializes in dual wielding. In life, he was known for his elegance with blades, and in death that fact has not changed. In fact, his speed and grace with a weapon has grown tenfold. He can disappear at will, and at times moves as a spirit does without feet touching the ground. The mask he wears grants him the ability to see demons for their true nature, no matter if they are disguised or possessing a human. Overall, the mask grants him numerous supernatural abilities, and he cannot be killed through normal means.
ARSENAL. Dusk Blades: Two swords; one Mortal, from when he was alive and an Azakana blade that he tore from the demon that found him in the afterlife.

❛ BACKGROUND

Yone is the elder of the two brothers. He was one that exemplified values of diligence, honor, and humility, especially when his father died and left his mother widowed. Even more so when she bore another son to another man. As they grew up together, Yone found himself oftentimes attempting to temper his younger brother's recklessness in order to keep him safe, though never faltered in caring for him. Unfortunately, everything would change for the brothers when war came to Ionia.
While Yone helped lead the army into battle, Yasuo was tasked with protecting the elders and their master. When Yone returned, he learned that his younger brother abandoned his post, and their master had been murdered. Yasuo had only turned out to appear more guilty upon his battling and even killing some of the students that had turned their weapons on him. Yone, torn over what had happened, knew that he had to set out to bring his brother to justice in a battle that would turn out to be his last.
Waking in the spirit world, Yone found himself face to face with a demon that knew him by name. A demon that had clung to him in life, chasing after him even in death. Yone's blades met with those of the demon and the two were interlocked in a fierce battle until one of them ultimately fell to the other.
With a blistering fury, with its dying breath, the demon made its intent clear.
If it were to die, it was not to enter the void, alone.
Soon afterwards, Yone awoke once more in the human world, robbed of an eternal slumber in the afterlife. Coalesced upon his face, was a fragment of the demon he fought. Unable to tear off the mask, Yone decided to undertake the task of slaying demons, seeing that the mask granted him the ability to view them for what they were. Each movement and attack they make, serve as a stroke in finding their true name. He hopes that through this, he may be able to find the name of the demon attached to him, and finally free himself from its grasp and gain the eternal rest he longs for.
